Dr. Joshua A. Thomas is practicing out of National Spine & Pain Centers’ National Harbor, MD center. Utilizing a thorough history and physical examination, in addition to interpreting diagnostic tests, Dr. Thomas is able to provide his patients with a definitive diagnosis and superior non-surgical treatment options. He has a particular interest in understanding and correcting the biomechanical abnormalities that contribute to the ongoing condition.
Dr. Thomas earned his Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Thomas has authored book chapters on topics such as thoracic disc herniations and lumbosacral disorders in athletes. He has been invited to lecture at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Thomas Jefferson University on a variety of topics including the shoulder, knee, and lumbar spine imaging. For his accomplishments, Dr. Thomas was awarded the Noguchi Medical Research Fellowship, which allowed him to study rehabilitation medicine in Japan. Understanding the importance of patient access to healthcare, Dr. Thomas chose to undergo additional study during his medical training and achieved a Masters in Business Administration.
