Dr. Suneetha Budampati, of Alexandria, VA office, is an advocate for strong doctor-patient relationships. She learned the importance of involving patients in their treatment plan by observing her own physician parents. “My parents did not know the concept of marketing a medical practice as we all do today. They got all the work they could handle through word of mouth referrals, from very satisfied patients and their families”, says Dr. Budampati. After graduating from fellowship, finding a practice that encourages such a philosophy was of utmost importance to her. She consistently tries to achieves successful results by dialoguing openly with patients to fully appreciate their expectations and to keep them informed and actively engaged in establishing their treatment and rehabilitation program.

Dr. Budampati earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland, MD and completed her residency from Sinai Hospital, University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. She maintains active memberships in the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
During her fellowship training at Virginia Commonwealth University and Hunter-Holmes McGuire VAMC, she advanced her skills in Interventional Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Her expertise includes Epidural Nerve Block, Facet Joint Injections, SI Joint Injection, Radiofrequency Neurotomy, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Discography and Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty.

During her leisure time Dr. Budampati enjoys singing Southern Indian Classical music and can also be found riding the scenic parkways in Virginia on her motorcycle, a hobby she shares with her husband. She is an avid certified scuba diver and bicycle rider. She is enjoying pursuing these interests along with her children as they get older. Multilingual, Dr. Budampati is fluent in Telugu, Hindi and Urdu.
