NSPC’s CMO Dr. Staats at the Annual Meeting of The Pain Society of The Carolinas

Last weekend (Dec 1 – 3) our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Peter Staats and Dr. Carol Drescher from our Fayetteville, North Carolina office attended the Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions organized by The Pain Society of the Carolinas. The three day event was held at The Belmond Charleston Place Hotel, Charleston, South Carolina.

The Annual meeting and Scientific Sessions is an ACCE Accredited Educational Program addressing the issues facing the chronic pain patient. Dr. Staats was the key note speaker at the James Crews Memorial Lecture. He talked about vagus nerve stimulation and the future of neuromodulation, an emerging solution to the current opioid crisis.
