Susan True Bertrand, M.D. is Pain Management Specialist in North Carolina and is practicing out of National Spine & Pain Centers’ Cary, Fayetteville, Henderson, and Spring Lake, North Carolina offices. She addresses both chronic and acute pain with a range of treatment options that include minimally-invasive procedures as well as carefully managed medication management plans.
Dr. Bertrand earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN and performed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington in Seattle. She then completed a fellowship in Pain Management at the Alaska Spine Center in Anchorage, AL.
Her clinical expertise encompasses a variety of diagnostic specialties and treatments, including: Discography, Epidural Nerve Block, Lumbar Sympathetic Injections, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Stellate Ganglion Injections and Trigger Point Injections.

In her free time, Dr. Bertrand has traveled to Haiti, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Uganda and Nicaragua for medical missionary work. She has also worked with children with disabilities in El Salvador and China.
