Dr. Walia earned his medical degree from the Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India, where he completed an internship and residency in anesthesiology. He also performed a residency in anesthesiology at the University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark before completing a fellowship in pain medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Hospital in Baltimore.
