Dr. de Lara, practicing out of National Spine & Pain Centers’ Germantown center, is valued by colleagues and patients alike for his honesty and genuine approachability.

Receiving an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, Dr. De Lara then continued to pursue medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he attended the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During his time in his Anesthesiology Residency, he served as Chief Resident and then followed up by completing his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the NJ Pain Institute of UMDNJ. In addition to Dr. de Lara’s extensive educational background, he is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Medical Association and the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. de Lara believes successful pain management begins with treating every patient as unique, honest, compassionate and understanding. His sphere of clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions such as but not limited to the following: musculoskeletal/myofascial pain, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritic joint pain, failed back surgery syndrome, herniated discs, pinched nerves, neuropathic pain, radiofrequency denervation and headaches.
