Dr. Varada Nargund, of the Glen Burnie Center, joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 2008. Her patients say that she is pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable in identifying the source of pain and presenting a proactive course of action to resolve it.
Dr. Nargund completed her undergraduate education at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and then continued her education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received her medical degree. She had the honor of being the Chief Resident of Anesthesiology during her time at SUNY Medical Center in Brooklyn New York.
Over Dr. Nargunds’ years practicing medicine, she has lectured to physicians, nurses and the general population in efforts to educate the community in her fields of expertise. She has provided lectures on osteoporotic compression fractures, spinal cord stimulation, and the medical management of pain syndromes. Dr. Nargund believes that pain can touch every facet of a patient’s life and should be treated with a comprehensive, interventional pain management approach.
Honest, caring, and technically skilled, she instills confidence and trust in her patients and professional associates. Her clinical expertise encompasses a variety of diagnostic specialties and treatments, including but not limited to: epidural nerve block, facet joint injections, joint injections and discography.
