Dr. Peter Staats, Chief Medical Officer of National Spine & Pain Centers has received Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award 2016. He has been recognized by his patients as one of America’s most compassionate doctors.

Dr. Peter Staats is the founding partner of Premier Pain Centers, an affiliate to National Spine & Pain Centers. He is boarded by the American Society of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP), and the World Institute of Pain (FIPP). He has received fellowship status from both the World Institute of Pain and the North American Neuromodulation Society. Dr. Staats has edited or co-authored 10 textbooks on pain medicine and written nearly three hundred articles, book chapters, and abstracts on the diagnosis and management of complex pain problems.

Dr. Staats is listed in America’s Top Doctors, New Jersey Top Doctors, and Best Doctors in America. As the past President of ASIPP (The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians), Dr. Staats has also been a member of various organizations, such as, the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), the Southern Pain Society, the New Jersey Society of interventional Pain Physicians (NJSIPP), and was the first chair of the American Society of Anesthesia Committee on Interventional Pain. He is currently chairman of the Board of Examination World Institute of Pain and on the Executive Board of the World Institute of Pain.

Being a leader in his field, Dr. Staats is the recipient of many highly distinguished awards, including, but not limited to, the President’s Distinguished Service Award, the Excellence in Pain Management Award from the Southern Pain Society, and most recently the Raj award for excellence (2017) from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
