American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) scheduled a Washington Legislative Session on September 12-13, 2017 at Capitol Hill, Washington DC. ASIPP members from across the country, including our NSPC physicians, attended the conference to hear speeches and meet with Senators and Representatives.
(Pictured above from left to right) Alok Gopal, M.D., DABMA, Sudhir Diwan, M.D., Mayo Friedlis, M.D., Sean Li, M.D., Doug Wisor, M.D., Tameta Clark, M.D., Carey Closson, M.D., and Ketan Patel, M.D. participated to support ASIPP. NSPC Physicians spent the day lobbying Congress on the role that interventional pain management can play in chronic pain including reversing the current epidemic & the over-utilization of opiate medication.
"Never in ASIPP’s history has it been more important for our members to get involved in advocacy efforts. Our specialty has been gravely affected by severe coverage cuts.” – ASIPP
