Dr. Anish Patel Leads a Lecture on Breakthrough Therapies in Pain Management

National Spine & Pain Centers recently hosted a Dinner Program for Health Care Providers. Dr. Anish S. Patel from our Frederick, MD office presented on Breakthrough Therapies in Pain Management. The program was conducted at the Volt Restaurant, 228 N Market St, Frederick, MD 21701 on December 7, 2017 and was sponsored by Abbott Neuromodulation.

Around 16 people attended the program including Podiatrists and Primary Care physicians within the Frederick area. Dr. Cheryl Mejia from our Hagerstown, MD office also attended the event. The presentation was well-received by the physicians in attendance and was followed by a great Q&A session.

Dr. Patel spoke about the new breakthrough therapies for patients suffering from chronic neuropathic pain such as Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation (DRG), Burst Spinal Cord Stimulation and Radiofrequency Ablation and how to identify those patients. These therapies have proven to be extremely effective and successful in patients suffering from CRPS and other extremity pain. Dr. Patel is one of the few physicians hand-selected to be trained in DRG Stimulation.
