As Congress weighs how best to insure Americans, some doctors are placing renewed focus on better medical treatment by connecting the dots between what happens in the exam room and America’s growing problem with addiction to prescription pain medicine.
During the show, the panel of physicians discussed inefficient exams, malpractice and why pain can be a good thing.
Dr. Singla, a former faculty member at the Harvard Medical School and Physician at National Spine & Pain Centers, fully understands the risk of addiction and dependency when including opioid medications as part of a treatment plan. He performs a comprehensive evaluation of each patient’s medical situation before suggesting treatments to resolve their acute or chronic pain conditions.”
