Dr. Varada Nargund is a board-certified Interventional Pain Medicine specialist and serves as the Regional Medical Director for Maryland at National Spine & Pain Centers. Since joining NSPC in 2008, she has played a key leadership role in advancing clinical excellence, physician engagement, and care delivery across the region.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Nargund serves as Director of Provider-RCM Alignment & Liaison, where she plays a critical role in bridging clinical operations and revenue cycle performance to support high-quality, sustainable patient care.
Dr. Nargund specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex spine and pain conditions and is highly skilled in advanced, minimally invasive procedures, including nerve transection, Via Disc, and regenerative therapies such as Lipogems and PRP. She is also experienced in spinal cord stimulation, epidural injections, and a wide range of interventional techniques aimed at improving patient outcomes and function.
She is widely recognized for her focus on high-acuity care and advancing innovative treatment options across NSPC. “Our goal is to provide patients with effective, minimally invasive solutions that restore function and improve quality of life,” Dr. Nargund shares.
A dedicated educator and thought leader, Dr. Nargund has delivered lectures to physicians, nurses, and the community on topics including spinal cord stimulation, compression fractures, and comprehensive pain management. She believes in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach and emphasizes the importance of aligning clinical excellence with long-term patient outcomes.
