Stan Hatcher is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in National Spine & Pain Centers’ Midlothian, VA office. Having experience in internal medicine, neurosurgery, and endocrinology, Hatcher will utilize his extensive knowledge in pain management and nursing to provide excellent customer service and patient care.
“I’m looking forward to working with patients and partnering with them in their pain management plan while improving their quality of life,” Hatcher recalled. He is also thrilled to be working with and learning from the leading experts in the field at NSPC.
Hatcher discovered his passion for family health care through experience as a registered nurse for twenty-five years in various clinical settings, critical care units, and ambulatory nursing. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Mennonite University, and after years of being Head Nurse and RN Administrative Coordinator, Hatcher decided to further his career and pursued his master’s degree in nursing at James Madison University.
During his time in the MSN Nurse Practitioner Program at JMU, Hatcher worked with patients of all ages with acute complaints, worked with patients with infectious diseases, and provided primary care at the University Medical Associates Clinic at the University of Virginia and provided specialty care at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Virginia.
During Hatcher’s experience as a registered nurse, he worked in various settings where he gained valuable experience and expertise in specialty fields such as neurological/neurosurgery patient care, rheumatology, and endocrine clinics. He has performed specialty tests, including Cortrosyn Stimulation, insulin tolerance tests, and administered medication via infusion as well as intravenously.
When Hatcher is not practicing medicine he enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as developing boxwood gardens at his home as rescuing boxers.
