About Sarah Martin, PA

Pain management is a field where medical professionals can make a significant impact on patients’ lives. Sarah Martin, PA was drawn to the field to do just that. “You have the ability to treat pain and help patients get back to doing things they love and other activities of daily life,” she said.

Joining the National Spine and Pain Centers in February 2019, Sarah recently completed her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA with summa cum laude honors and attained the highest academic average in her graduating class. She was also inducted into the Pi Alpha Honors Society for significant academic achievement, leadership, research, service, and a high standard of character and conduct. While in Physician Assistant school, Sarah completed ten clinical rotations with one of her chosen electives being orthopedics and sports medicine. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science from The Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State, Sarah was actively involved with Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon which benefits children with pediatric cancer. Sarah was also inducted into The Pennsylvania State University Premedical Honors Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta. Her previous work experience includes being a medical scribe at OrthoVirginia, a patient transporter in the Lehigh Valley Health Network and a home health aide at In-Home Services of Central Pa.

Sarah has special interest in joint injections, the treatment and management of sports related injuries, and trigger point injections. “I love solving the puzzle of a medical diagnosis and constantly being intellectually challenged,” she said. “I enjoy being able to interact with people on a regular basis and truly being able to help someone.”

Focusing on the patient is a priority in Sarah’s practice. “I believe it is important to take the time to listen to each patient and provide personalized, quality and evidence-based care at all times,” she said.

In her downtime, Sarah stays active by hiking, running, participating in 5Ks and triathlons, skiing and paddle boarding. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
