Dr. Albert began practicing in 2007 at New York Pain Consultants and joined New York Spine & Pain Physicians in 2013. He completed his medical training at the University of the West Indies, graduating with Honors. He completed internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in the Department of Internal Medicine, then went on to residency training at Stony Brook University Hospital at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
During his residency, Dr. Albert developed an interest in pain medicine and interventional spinal injections and trained at various institutions including Stony Brook University, the Veterans Administration, and New York Pain Consultants, broadening his understanding of both acute and chronic pain. Dr. Albert joined New York Pain Consultants after completing his residency and pursued an additional year of training in a Fellowship capacity.
Dr. Albert believes in a fully integrative approach to patient care, taking into the consideration the complexity of pain complaints. He is skilled in performing specialized spinal and musculoskeletal interventions including fluoroscopically and ultrasound guided injections. His focus on treating the entire patient allows him to not only improve pain, but encourage overall health and wellness.
Dr. Albert is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist. He was born in Kentucky and raised on Long Island. He is married and has 2 children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cross training, weight lifting, and practicing Shaolin Kung-Fu.
