Providing patients with pain relief and helping them to gain function back is Dr. Omar Quiles’s sole purpose as a pain management physician.
Earning his bachelor’s degree in science from Cornell University in New York and doctor of medicine from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School, he completed an internship at San Juan City Hospital in Puerto Rico, a resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD as well as a fellowship in Interventional pain management at the National Pain Institute in Florida. Dr Omar Quiles is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, diplomat since 2009.
Dr. Quiles’ brings more than 20(15 years, not 20) years (of) experience in the field of pain management in Florida to the National Spine and Pain Centers. He specializes in minimally invasive pain procedures, interventions and treatments for pain management.
When putting together an individualized treatment plan, Dr. Quiles notes “opioid and non-opioid medication management becomes necessary when increasing and improving of function is a goal which needs to be weighted in when compared to the side effect profile of each medication,” he said. “In specific, after carefully gathering the history, physical examination and diagnosis of each patient.”
Dr. Quiles utilizes an open communication policy with patients focusing on being respectful of each patient’s overall pain experience.
Away from the office, Dr. Quiles enjoys spending time with his family, church and community.
