Dr. Fandos joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 2013 when it merged with New York Pain Consultants. Prior to his current position, Dr. Fandos was the Division Chief for Pain Management at the Mater Dei Hospital in Buenos Aries and was an Associate Professor at Foundation Dolor. In 2002, he returned to the United States and co-founded New York Pain Consultants with Dr. Craig Shalmi.

Dr. Fandos is a seasoned pain management specialist with over 20 years experience and is an expert in complex pain management conditions. His philosophy for treating patients is focused on staying current with the latest pain management techniques so that he can provide his patients with the best care possible.

Additionally, Dr. Fandos teaches pain management to medical residents from Stony Brook University Medical Center Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also serves as the Director of the Division of Pain Management at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, New York, which is a member of the North Shore-LIJ system.

Through several research projects, Dr. Fandos is creating data on new techniques that can potentially provide patients with prolonged sustained relief of pain and an improved quality of life. The research revolves around different conditions that cause pain.

He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Fandos is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Pain Medicine, International Association for the Study of Pain, North American Neuromodulation Society and the World Pain Institute.

A native of Argentina, he is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, soccer and horseback riding.

    Dr. Fandos and his staff always have my best interests. They go above and beyond to make sure I can have quality of life while living with daily pain. Without them I don't know what I would do !!!

    Dr. Fandos is a great and caring doctor who helps me with my pain management. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
