About
Primary Specialty:
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Every time Dr. Jason Wei sees a patient get better through an individualized treatment plan, he is inspired. “It gets me motivated to work harder to help my patients,” he said.
Dr. Wei holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California San Diego and a master’s degree in physiology from the University of Cincinnati. The Ohio-based facility is also the site where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed an internal medicine internship. A residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Toledo followed. He is currently completing his pain medicine fellowship at the National Spine and Pain Centers in Ocala, FL.
He was first drawn to the pain management field due to his desire to improve patients’ quality of life and their daily living activities.
The future of pain management has many impressive treatments and technology on the horizon. Dr. Wei is most excited by developments in spinal cord stimulation and minimally invasive lumbar and sacroiliac joint fusion.
When advising patients, Dr. Wei prefers to use interventional procedures to reduce their pain rather than medications. “I would like to work with patients to maximize our options in order to treat their pain,” he said. “I will use all available options before starting pain medications in order to give the safest treatment to patients.”
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Wei can be found playing video games and watching sporting events including soccer and professional basketball.

People that work respond and pain they are very nice and very helpful and I enjoy going there because I do get a feeling of someone trying to really help you, in my case they are trying to do the best they can to get rid of my pain but I don't think it will ever go away the last time I had six shots and they did not help me I'm still in pain
