Dr. Acosta received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, as well as a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science degree in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. In 1992 he completed his internship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, and then went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center.
While serving in the armed forces in South Carolina in 1995, Dr. Acosta was assigned as a staff anesthesiologist at Naval Hospital Charleston. He completed his Pain Management fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, then moved to Fort Myers in 2000 to practice at Lee Memorial Health System facilities.
He is Board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of a number of professional organizations.

Dr Acosta and [...] staff on time pleasant and a pleasure to go there. I drive all the way from [...] which is approx 1 hr but so worth the drive down there

ALL THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THE DOCTOR IS VERY GOOD AT HIS JOB AND KIND AS A PERSON. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT.

From the check in to the procedure preparation ([...]) where totally great! Everyone involved made me feel like I was the only person on earth. Of course Doctor Acosta was fantastic as usual.
